Attractions focused on innovation

Plástico Brasil 2025 featured several attractions focused on innovation, providing an immersion in the sector's technological trends. The Ideas Park was a space dedicated to exclusive content, with lectures based on market research and presentations of innovative projects developed by leading educational institutions, experienced market professionals, and industry entities.

The Quick Mold Change Workshop gave a live demonstration of SMED - Single Minute Exchange of Die, a methodology that reduces the setup time of injection molding machines to less than 10 minutes, promoting efficiency and automation in the production process.

In the latest edition, the SMED attraction partnered with SENAI - National Industrial Learning Service to hold the Quick Mold Change Techniques workshop in this space, involving SMED concepts and providing a certificate of participation to everyone who experienced this practice.

The SENAI-SP Mobile Connectivity School was present at the 2025 edition. There, visitors were able to experience use cases and applications of technology made possible by connectivity, especially 5G. Among the applications presented were monitoring, activation, and maintenance of equipment, safely and remotely.

In addition to 5G, the school presented families of technologies related to digital communication in the industrial environment, such as Wi-Fi 6, latency testing, transmission capacity, and applications in immersive education, including the Metaverse.

The 3rd edition of “Mulheres que Transformam” (Women Who Transform), a simultaneous event that took place for the first time in São Paulo on March 24. The initiative seeks to broaden and deepen the debate on the importance of the role of women in the sector, addressing issues of leadership, inclusion, and innovation.

ESG and Recycling Initiatives

For the first time, the fair was the stage for a Circular Economy project developed by the Sou do Plástico Institute, in partnership with the State Technical School (ETEC) of Mairiporã, whose goal is to extend the useful life of plastic. The project consists of demonstrating an interactive recycling process that transforms plastic caps into new products with greater added value, such as cell phone holders, using a mill and an injection molding machine adapted for this operation.

Another highlight was the Recicla Plástico Brasil Project, an initiative aimed at strengthening the recycling chain, which promotes integration between companies, organizations, and society. The proposal seeks to increase the circularity of plastic and encourage more sustainable practices throughout the production chain.

The event also promoted the "Segunda Sustentável" (Sustainable Monday) initiative, which encourages responsible plastic consumption by proposing behavioral changes aimed at minimizing environmental impacts. The initiative reinforces the importance of reuse and proper disposal, encouraging more conscious attitudes on the part of companies and consumers.

For the first time, we carried out the "Projeto Sacolar Circular" (Circular Bag Project), which provided an educational experience for visitors, demonstrating how plastic can be a sustainable solution in the manufacture of recyclable bags, which were also used in actions with exhibitors at the fair. The initiative highlighted the benefits of recycling and the importance of responsible use of this material in everyday life.

Abinfer Business Center

The 4th edition of ABINFER BUSINESS CENTER – ABC 2025, at Plástico Brasil, featured an exhibition of toolmakers and suppliers to the tooling industry, providing an ideal environment for business and the exchange of experiences in the sector.

Plástico Brasil — International Plastics Fair — The third edition of the fair confirmed its position as the largest event in the sector in Latin America.

Plástico Brasil — International Plastics and Rubber Trade Fair — confirmed its position as the largest event in the sector in Latin America.

A wide and varied range of solutions for the entire plastics chain, crowded aisles, lots of business, technology, and knowledge marked the second edition of the fair and contributed to the modernization of the industrial park and productivity gains at a time of economic recovery.

Between March 25 and 29, 2019, 800 national and international brands exhibited in a space of over 40,000 m².

Held from March 20 to 24, 2017, the first edition of Plástico Brasil was considered a success by organizers and exhibitors.

The first event of the year for the sector, Plástico Brasil showcased the latest technology, presented firsthand to the market by 400 major brands from across the plastics production chain: machinery, equipment and accessories, raw materials and resins, molds and mold holders, industrial automation and robotics, among other products, services, and solutions.

The volume of business conducted marked the beginning of a resumption of growth in industrial activity after two years of stagnation. In the international rounds alone, US$30 million in business was generated through 180 meetings held between Brazilian manufacturers and 10 buyers from eight countries (Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Egypt, the United States, India, Mexico, and Russia).

We are proud of this achievement, but it comes as no surprise. It is the result of a number of factors involving the expertise of Informa Exhibitions and the representativeness of the organizing entities: ABIMAQ – Brazilian Association of Machinery and Equipment Manufacturers and ABIQUIM – Brazilian Chemical Industry Association.

Informa, which accepted the challenge of delivering a trade fair to the market that is compatible with the quality and high professional standards of the Brazilian plastics industry, brought to the event the premise that guides all its trade fairs: to offer the public experiences and opportunities to generate new business, expand horizons, content, and training.

The speed of change in recent years has significantly affected trade relations and, consequently, the profile and objectives of trade shows. Today, best practices indicate that these events should, of course, promote the economic development of the sectors they represent, but also go further and offer new experiences and exclusive opportunities for networking and knowledge transfer.

São Paulo Expo

São Paulo Expo has placed the city of São Paulo on the map of major events in Latin America, reinforcing the city as a global destination for business and entertainment tourism. With international standards and management by one of the largest event groups in the world, São Paulo Expo brings together all the elements needed to host successful trade shows.

The pavilion's location is strategic, 850 meters from the Jabaquara subway station and 10 minutes from Congonhas Airport. Because it is outside the municipal restriction perimeter (alternate-day driving ban) for passenger and cargo vehicles, the location facilitates the assembly and disassembly of stands and access for visitors arriving via the Imigrantes Highway.
