In the plastics sector, we face significant challenges regarding sustainability, including raw materials, recycling, carbon emissions, energy efficiency, waste generation, and the inclusion of professionals and technologies in the sector. However, we see these challenges as opportunities to innovate, seek efficient solutions, and promote more sustainable practices.
Plástico Brasil aims to be a platform to discuss and tackle these challenges, inspiring participants to adopt sustainable practices. Encouraging diversification, technological modernization, and innovation in the sector while supporting productive activities, the creation of decent jobs, and growing small and medium-sized industries, Plástico Brasil promotes its content offerings at Ideas Park and other attractions focused on professional development and economic growth.
ABINFER BUSINESS CENTER: a space for showcasing companies in the tooling sector, with subsidized spaces and a unique auditorium, focused on sustainability topics for the industry.
SMED: a live workshop featuring rapid mold changes with a 100% automated process, completed in up to 5 minutes, optimizing a crucial part of the plastic manufacturing process.
To ensure our content is accessible and inclusive, the Ideas Park will feature a Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) interpreter for all presentations.
Plástico Brasil is an initiative of ABIMAQ (Brazilian Machinery Builders' Association) and ABIPLAST (Brazilian Plastics Industry Association), with institutional support from various national and international associations, institutions, and labor unions.
During the event, besides Ideas Park, other attractions are designed to focus on industrial innovation and significant management challenges.
Plástico Brasil will also feature a Circular Economy project developed by the Soul do Plástico Institute, with practical application at the State Technical School (ETEC) in Mairiporã. The goal is to extend the life of plastic by converting discarded plastic bottle caps into products with higher added value.
All proceeds from the sale of converted products during Plástico Brasil will benefit the Central Única das Favelas (CUFA) of Amazonas.
We also had Mulheres que Transformam (Women Who Transform), in partnership with Plástico Sul, an event dedicated to connecting women from the corporate world, especially from the industry, to share experiences, challenges, and opportunities of the female journey in the sector. The focus was on topics such as Circular Economy and ESG Practices.
Tampinha Legal: In 2025, we strengthened our partnership with this project, which focuses on the collection and recycling of plastic bottle caps, raising environmental awareness and generating resources for social causes.
Free shuttles: during the five days of the event, we offer free rotating shuttles at three strategic points in São Paulo to facilitate access to the event using public transportation.
Besides the content programming during the event and on digital channels, ensuring that everyone has access to information, Plástico Brasil guides all its actions and those of exhibitors around responsible consumption, including efficient use of energy and natural resources, waste reduction, and encouraging reuse and recycling, as well as responsible sourcing in the supply chain.

Circular Bag Project: An educational initiative that will demonstrate how plastic can be a sustainable solution in bag production, highlighting the benefits and importance of recycling this material. The initiative will create a true chain of good, with the production of bags that will be used within the fair. Participating companies: Carnevalli, Extrusa-Pack, G4 Máquinas, MTF Termoformadoras, Rulli Standard, and Valmart.

Focusing on promoting the national industry and developing the economy, Plástico Brasil will host ABINFER (Brazilian Association of Tooling Industry). . We had an exclusive exhibition space for 19 tooling manufacturers and suppliers, showcasing products, innovations, and technologies to offer comprehensive solutions to visitors, creating the ideal environment for business and knowledge exchange in the sector.

The Better Stands program is evolving! What began as an Informa Markets initiative to reduce waste at our trade shows has now become a global movement that unites the entire events and exhibitions industry.
Our mission remains to eliminate waste generated by discarded booths, but now with a collaborative approach that involves organizers, suppliers, evaluators, associations, exhibitors, and booth builders around the world.
Better Stands is not just about reused booths — it's about creating a new standard of efficiency, experience, safety, and sustainability for the entire events industry.
The global program that is revolutionizing the way we build our spaces at events. We say goodbye to disposable (single-use) stands and show the market that we are ahead of the curve, with commitment and innovation.
In just a few steps, your booth can stand out from the competition with Bronze, Silver, or Gold certifications, showing your level of commitment to sustainability. For a booth to be Better Stands, it must be reusable. This means that it should not generate waste.
10 items must be reusable: in addition to the items from the previous levels, we include floor coverings, graphics, and decorative items.
8 items must be reusable: in addition to the items from the bronze level, we include front and overhead signage, structure assembly, ceiling, and display stands.
4 items must be reusable: structure, floor platform, furniture, and lighting.
Scheduled to be achieved by 2027, this level, in addition to including all elements of the Bronze level, requires that all structural objects, front and overhead signage, ceiling, and display stands be reusable.
This level involves the construction of stands where components, including walls, floors, furniture, equipment, and lighting, are 100% reusable, to be achieved at all Informa Markets events by next year.
