PLASTICO BRASIL DEPLOYS REGIONALLY IN CAIXAS DO SUL

Second edition of event steps up promotion in 2018, expecting 20% growth

The second edition of Plástico Brasil – The International Plastic and Rubber Expo –officially launched in 2017, was a confirmed participant at a recent dinner held by Simplás - The Northeast Gaúcho Chapter of the Plastic Material Trade Union, Caxias do Sul (located in Brazil's southernmost state Rio Grande do Sul), where a regional launch was held on the 26th of March.

"The Caxias do Sul region is an important epicenter for the manufacturing industry, with the plastic industry as one of its most well-developed segments. It's strategic for Plástico Brasil, to be able to participate in the Simplás dinner and present the second edition of the show to the members," comments Liliane Bortoluci, Director, at Informa Exhibitions, Plástico Brasil's organizer.

Plástico Brasil is an initiative of ABIMAQ and ABIQUIM, presented by Informa Exhibitions. The show takes place on March 25-29, 2019 at São Paulo Expo, the most modern trade show facility in Latin America, and expects to attract more than 500 exhibitor brands and 45 thousand attendees.  

EXPANDED PROMOTION

In 2017, Plastico Brasil took part in the following events: the show was a sponsor of Prêmio PPR, organized by Plásticos em Revista magazine; it participated in the Breakfast held by ABIEF - Brazilian Flexible Packaging Association, the 8° Flex Forum, the VII Flex
Seminar, the 15º Mold ABM, the Brazilian Metalworking, Materials and Mining Association, among others.  In the international arena, the show was present at Plastimagen México 2017, and Andina Pack 2017, in Colombia.  

For 2018, Plástico Brasil has already confirmed participation in 7 large international events starting with Colombiaplast (Shanghai), in April; NPE (Orlando) and Expo Plast Peru (Lima) in May; Plast 2018 (Milan) and Argenplás (Buenos Aires), in June; Colombiaplast (Bogotá), in September; and winding down with Expo Plasticos (Guadalajara), in November. 

 "Taking part in national and international events is an important part of the show strategy.  Participation in large international shows is an excellent relationship opportunity, creating awareness for attendees and exhibitors, since Latin America is just one of Plástico Brasil's target markets.  It's certain that a presence in all of these large events will bring in new business and qualified attendance," emphasizes Liliane. 

INITIATIVE AND PRESENTATION

Abimaq - The Brazilian Machinery and Equipment Builders' Association represents around 7,800 companies from every mechanical capital goods segment, whose performance directly impacts other Brazilian production sectors and is structured nationally with headquarters in São Paulo, nine regions and a Policy Office in Brasília. economic, technical and international trade issues.  The organization also represents the industry for negotiation of international agreements related to chemical products.
