PLÁSTICO BRASIL INTENSIFIES DISCLOSURE IN 2018
Second edition of event expects 20% growth and will focus on international participation
The second edition of Plástico Brasil – International Plastic and Rubber Exhibition – (International Plastics and Rubber Trade Show) was officially launched in August 2017 and, since then, has been present among the main national and international events. It will be held in March 25 – 29, 2019 at São Paulo Expo, and is expected to attract over 500 exhibiting brands and 45 thousand attendees.
In 2017, Plástico Brasil was present at the following events: as a sponsor at Prêmio PPR (PPR award), organized by Plásticos em Revista; it participated in the Breakfast Meeting of ABIEF - Brazilian Flexible Plastics Packaging Association, 8th Flex Forum, VII Flex Seminar, 15th Moldes ABM, from the Brazilian Metallurgy, Materials and Mining Association, among others. Internationally it participated in Plastimagen Mexico 2017 and Andina Pack 2017, in Colombia.
“Being present at national and international events is an important part of the Trade Show’s strategy. Participation in large international trade shows is an excellent opportunity to create relationships and awareness of attendees and exhibitors and Latin America is one of the target markets for Plástico Brasil”, says Liliane Bortoluci, Director of Informa Exhibitions, organizer of Plástico Brasil.
For 2018, Plástico Brasil has its participation confirmed in 7 large international shows beginning with Chinaplast (Shanghai), in April; NPE (Orlando) and Expo Plast Peru (Lima) in May; Plast 2018 (Milan) and Argenplás (Buenos Aires), in June; Colombiaplast (Bogota), in September; closing with Expo Plasticos (Guadalajara), in November. “Our presence in all these large events will definitely bring new businesses and qualified attendance”, emphasizes Liliane.
Besides its strong international presence, the show will conduct another launch event in Rio Grande do Sul, in March 2018, during the Simplás Dinner - Plastics Industry Trade Union, in partnership with the Plástico Sul magazine.
Plástico Brasil is an initiative of ABIMAQ and ABIQUIM, leading entities in the segment. The show will be held at São Paulo Expo, the most modern exhibition pavilion in Latin America, located close to Congonhas Airport and the main road access routes in São Paulo, as well as the city subway.
Abimaq – The Brazilian Association of Machines and Equipment Manufacturers represents about 7,800 companies from the most diverse mechanical capital goods manufacturing segments, whose performance has a direct impact on the other national productive sectors. Its national structure is comprised of headquarters in São Paulo, nine regional offices and a Political Office in Brasília. Well beyond providing institutional representation for the sector, ABIMAQ is under professional management and its activities focus on the generation of commercial opportunities for its members. It also undertakes actions in the political and economic arenas, stimulates commerce and international cooperation and contributes towards performance enhancement regarding technology, human capacity building and managerial modernization.
Abiquim – The Brazilian Chemical Industry Association is a non-profit entity founded on June 16, 1964, which gathers small, medium and large chemical industries, as well as service providers in the chemical sector in the following areas: logistics, transport, waste management and emergency services. The association carries out statistical monitoring of the sector, promotes specific studies on chemical industry activities and products, follows up changes in legislation and provides support on economic, technical and external commerce affairs for member companies. The entity also represents the sector in the negotiation of international agreements related to chemical products.
